A JOURNEY OF PERSISTENCE
Cruz began her collegiate career at Florida State after a decorated career at Space Coast Junior/Senior High School. She was named her team’s MVP in each of her final three high school seasons, earned All-Cape Coast Conference honors three times and helped lead Space Coast to district championships as a junior and senior.
After redshirting in 2019, Cruz made her Florida State debut in 2020. She appeared in five games during the COVID-shortened season, including one start, and recorded four strikeouts in 2.2 innings while contributing to two combined shutouts.
THE NEXT CHAPTER
Following her time in Tallahassee, Cruz transferred to Alabama State and continued a journey that required her to adapt, grow and continually find new ways to compete.
Her path from Florida State to Alabama State now leads to professional softball in Knoxville, where she joins the Miracle as an experienced, competitive and versatile athlete still hungry to improve and prove herself.
