Tennessee
In his first season on Rocky Top in 2025, the Lady Vols returned to the Women's College World Series, advancing to the national semifinals after recording wins over Florida and UCLA. At the plate, Tennessee slashed .302/.511/.404 as a team with 79 doubles, 19 triples, and 73 home runs. It marked the first time Tennessee hit over .300 for the year since 2021, and the 19 triples tied the program record.
Several Lady Vols had career seasons under his guidance, including Kinsey Fiedler, who tied the single-season triples record with eight. Sophia Nugent also thrived, hitting .298 with 25 runs, 51 hits, nine doubles, 18 home runs, and 61 RBIs during her final collegiate season. Her 18 home runs are tied for the fourth-most in a single season in program history.
His second season saw a jump in home runs, doubles, and walks, while returning to the Women's College World Series for the fifth time in his professional career.
Texas Tech
From Franklin, Kentucky, Snider took over the helm of the Texas Tech softball program in June 2022. In just two seasons, he guided the Red Raiders to back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since 2018 and 2019.
Texas Tech had six players selected to All-Big 12 teams in 2024, tying a program record.
During his two seasons in Lubbock, Snider's offensive prowess helped Texas Tech record the most doubles with 181, doubles per game at 1.76, home runs with 134, home runs per game at 1.30, RBIs with 562, RBIs per game at 5.46, and the highest slugging percentage at .537 over a two-year span in program history. On top of that, 13 Red Raiders combined to set 88 career highs, the most in the country for the 2024 season.
Florida State, Oklahoma & Texas A&M
Prior to his stint in Lubbock, Snider made stops at Oklahoma, Florida State, and Texas A&M, where he coached 20 All-Americans and made three Women's College World Series appearances.
In 2018, he helped guide Florida State to a national championship as the Seminoles defeated Washington in two games to claim the ACC program's first WCWS crown.
During his eight seasons at Florida State, he helped the Seminoles to 11 Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season and tournament championships, seven NCAA Super Regionals, and three WCWS appearances.
Early Career
Snider came to Florida State after four seasons at Stephen F. Austin, where he served as the hitting coach for the Ladyjacks from 2007 to 2010. In 2008, he helped SFA to an NCAA Regional appearance after winning the Southland Conference tournament.
Previously, Snider spent the 2005 and 2006 seasons as a graduate assistant at Oklahoma after stints as an assistant coach at Centenary from 2004 to 2005 and Lindsey Wilson College from 2001 to 2003.
Personal
A 2004 Centenary graduate, Snider married Stephanie Sanders in June 2024. He has a daughter, Riley, and a son, Henry.
