Knoxville Miracle Sign Oklahoma Standout Abby Dayton
The Knoxville Miracle have signed Oklahoma standout Abby Dayton, adding an accomplished outfielder whose speed, athleticism and competitive edge fit the foundation being built in Knoxville.

The Knoxville Miracle continue building their inaugural roster with the signing of Oklahoma standout outfielder Abby Dayton.
Dayton arrives in Knoxville following a collegiate career that took her from Utah to Oklahoma and onto some of the biggest stages in college softball.
Across her collegiate career, Dayton finished as a .379 hitter with 215 hits, 164 runs scored, 106 RBI and 13 home runs. Her combination of speed, athleticism and offensive production established her as one of the game’s most dynamic outfielders.
Dayton’s résumé also includes NFCA Third Team All-America honors, a Pac-12 batting title, multiple NFCA All-Region selections, All-Pac-12 recognition and All-SEC honors. Her career included appearances on the Women’s College World Series stage with Utah and Oklahoma.
For Knoxville Miracle Head Coach Craig Snider, however, Dayton’s fit with the organization extends well beyond the numbers.
“Today is another exciting day for the Knoxville Miracle as we welcome an elite player and an even better competitor to our organization,”
“Abby Dayton has proven throughout her collegiate career that she can perform at the highest level of our sport. From Utah to Oklahoma, she has competed on some of college softball’s biggest stages and established herself as one of the most dynamic outfielders in the game.”
A Skill Set Built for Pressure
Dayton brings a combination of speed, range and offensive pressure to the Miracle outfield.
“Her athleticism immediately jumps out. She can change a game with her speed, cover an incredible amount of ground in center field, and create pressure offensively.”
Those physical tools are only part of what attracted the Miracle to Dayton.
“More importantly, we love the way she competes. She plays with confidence, toughness, and an edge that fits exactly what we’re building here in Knoxville.”
Dayton has consistently demonstrated an ability to perform in high-level environments throughout her collegiate career.
Building a Team That Expects to Win
The Miracle’s approach to constructing their inaugural roster has focused on finding players whose competitiveness and character match their talent.
“We aren’t just trying to collect talented players. We’re building a team of players who expect to win. Players who want to compete against the best, who embrace pressure, and who want to help grow professional softball.”
For Snider, Dayton fits that profile.
“Abby checks every one of those boxes.”
The organization believes Dayton’s transition into the next chapter of her professional career provides an opportunity for another significant step in her development.
“We believe her best softball is still ahead of her, and we couldn’t be more excited that the next chapter of her career will be right here in Knoxville,”
“It’s my pleasure to officially welcome Abby Dayton to the Knoxville Miracle.”
Welcome to Knoxville, Abby.
