The Knoxville Miracle have signed Jessie Blaine to a multi-year agreement, marking another milestone for the organization and its vision for the future of professional softball.

For the Miracle, the signing is about more than adding an exceptional player. It represents the organization’s commitment to building long-term careers and creating opportunities for athletes beyond their playing days.

One of the promises we made from the very beginning was that we weren’t going to build a team that simply gave athletes a place to play. We wanted to build careers. We wanted to create long-term opportunity. We wanted these incredible women to know there was a future in this sport beyond their playing days.

Blaine’s agreement with the Miracle includes her playing career and a fast-track path into the organization’s front office. Bleecker said he believes Blaine has the character, leadership, and long-term vision to help shape the franchise well beyond her time on the field.

Jessie is the kind of person you build around. She represents everything we believe professional softball can become.

Bleecker’s relationship with Blaine began years earlier in California, when she was a freshman in high school. Her father, Colonel Brian Blaine, reached out to Bleecker before deploying, looking for a trusted place for his daughter’s development.

At the time, Bleecker admits he was unsure whether 108 Performance was the right environment.

I told him, ‘We really don’t train girls.’ Brian wasn’t ready to accept no. One day he simply showed up with Jessie, hoping that if I met her, I’d change my mind. I’m really glad he did.

Within minutes, Bleecker said it was clear Blaine was different.

She was already a Team USA catcher and a high-achieving student, but what stood out most was her character.

You could immediately see the quality of her character. You could tell she was going to become someone special.

Years later, Blaine’s path led her to Knoxville, where she chose to attend the University of Tennessee College of Law. As the Knoxville Miracle began taking shape, Bleecker saw the connection between Blaine’s athletic career, academic path, leadership qualities, and the organization’s long-term mission.

The athlete we had met years earlier in California, the young woman who had grown into an incredible player at Auburn and Mississippi State, who was now pursuing law school here in Knoxville, was exactly the kind of person we wanted helping build this organization for the next generation.

The Miracle view Blaine not only as an outstanding softball player, but as a future executive and leader who can help shape the organization for years to come.

Jessie, thank you for believing in this vision. We’re honored that you’re choosing to build this with us.

The signing reflects the Miracle’s broader commitment to expanding what professional softball can mean for athletes. The organization is focused on creating a future where players can build careers, develop as leaders, and remain connected to the sport beyond their playing days.

The dream is getting bigger. Professional softball is no longer just about making a roster. It’s about building a life. It’s about building a career. It’s about creating opportunities that have never existed before.

Welcome to the Miracle, Jessie.
