KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Different position? No problem.

Different role? She’s ready.

The Knoxville Miracle have added another versatile athlete to their professional roster with the signing of Danielle “Dani” Rosner.

A native of Brewster, New York, Rosner brings a unique combination of size, athleticism and defensive versatility to Knoxville after a collegiate career that included stops at Colgate University and Lafayette College.

At 6-foot, the left-handed hitter has spent her career refusing to be defined by a single position.

Middle infield. Third base. Outfield. Wherever her team has needed her, Rosner has found a way to contribute.

That versatility immediately stood out to the Miracle.

“Dani gives us options, and that’s incredibly valuable when you’re building a professional roster,” Knoxville Miracle Head Coach Craig Snider said. “She’s athletic, she’s intelligent and she’s willing to do whatever the team needs. There isn’t an ego attached to where she plays. She just wants an opportunity to compete.”

Rosner began her collegiate career at Colgate, where she was listed as a utility player and studied neuroscience.

Her path eventually took her to Lafayette, where she continued developing into a player capable of impacting the game in multiple ways.

But Rosner’s story isn’t simply about versatility.

It’s about betting on yourself.

The journey from college softball to the professional game isn’t guaranteed. There isn’t always a perfectly mapped-out path or an obvious next step.

Sometimes an athlete simply has to keep working until somebody gives her an opportunity.

Rosner did exactly that.

“That’s one of the things I really respect about Dani,” Snider said. “Professional softball isn’t supposed to be easy to reach. You have to earn your way into these opportunities. When Dani got hers, she came in ready to compete. She showed us that she belonged in the conversation.”

Her athletic ability was evident long before college.

At Brewster High School, Rosner was a multi-sport athlete who competed in softball, volleyball and tennis. On the softball field, she developed into a left-handed hitter capable of playing throughout the diamond and outfield.

She also excelled academically, balancing an advanced course load with athletics before continuing her education at the Division I level.

That combination of intelligence and athletic versatility is exactly what the Miracle believe can translate to the professional game.

“Dani thinks the game,” Snider added. “That’s important. Athleticism can get you a long way, but the players who understand situations, make adjustments and continue learning are the ones who give themselves a chance to keep getting better.”

Now Rosner gets that chance in Knoxville.

She joins a Miracle roster being intentionally constructed with players from different backgrounds, different programs and different journeys.

Some arrive with national championships.

Some arrive with All-America honors.

And some arrive because when an opportunity was finally placed in front of them, they refused to let it pass.

Dani Rosner earned hers.

From Brewster to Colgate.

From Lafayette to Knoxville.

And now, from college softball to the professional game.

Danielle Rosner is a Knoxville Miracle.
