Knoxville Miracle Sign Ohio State Standout Kami Kortokrax
The Knoxville Miracle have signed Ohio State standout Kami Kortokrax, adding a proven infielder whose power, versatility, toughness and leadership fit the identity being built in Knoxville.
The Knoxville Miracle continue building their inaugural roster with the signing of Ohio State standout Kami Kortokrax.
Kortokrax arrives in Knoxville after a four-year collegiate career defined by production, durability and consistency. She started every game of her Ohio State career and finished with 213 hits, 39 home runs, 144 RBI, 142 runs scored and 45 doubles.
Her senior season was her most productive yet. Kortokrax hit .353 with 20 home runs, 51 RBI and 61 runs scored while earning All-Big Ten recognition for the third consecutive season.
For the Knoxville Miracle, however, the attraction goes well beyond the numbers.
“Today is a really exciting day for the Knoxville Miracle as we welcome another tremendous player to our organization — Kami Kortokrax from The Ohio State University,”
“When we talk about the type of players we want representing the Miracle, Kami is exactly what we’re looking for. She’s talented, she’s tough, she’s dependable, and she has proven over four years that she shows up every single day ready to compete.”
Production That Speaks for Itself
Kortokrax finished her Ohio State career ranked among the program’s all-time leaders in home runs, hits, RBI, doubles and runs scored.
“Kami started every game of her collegiate career and finished with more than 200 career hits, 39 home runs, 140-plus RBI, 140-plus runs scored and 45 doubles. She finished her career ranked among Ohio State’s all-time leaders in home runs, hits, RBI, doubles and runs scored.”
Her résumé includes First Team All-Big Ten honors in 2023 and 2024, Second Team All-Big Ten recognition in 2025, multiple NFCA All-Region selections and a Big Ten All-Defensive Team selection.
But the Miracle believe her value is rooted in the completeness of her game.
Value on Both Sides of the Ball
“The thing we love most about Kami is that she brings value on both sides of the ball.”
“She can hit. She can hit for power. She can defend. She can play multiple positions. And she brings the toughness and competitive mentality that we want to become part of the identity of the Knoxville Miracle.”
That combination of offensive production, defensive reliability and positional versatility made Kortokrax a consistent presence throughout her Ohio State career.
Her durability also stands out. She started all 217 games of her collegiate career, a reflection of the dependability Snider believes will translate well to the professional level.
Building a Team That Wants to Win
As the Miracle continue building their inaugural roster, the standard remains centered on more than reaching the professional level.
“As we build this roster, we’re looking for players who aren’t satisfied simply being professional softball players. We want players who want to win as professional softball players.”
“Kami fits that vision perfectly.”
The Miracle also see in Kortokrax the leadership qualities needed to help establish the culture of a new professional organization.
Ohio State Head Coach Kirin Kumar saw those qualities firsthand.
“Kami is the kind of person and player you can build a program around. I had the opportunity to coach her for one season, and what stood out immediately was that her impact went far beyond what she did between the lines.”
“She is a leader, she has an undeniable presence, and she brings a personality and competitive force that elevates everyone around her. She’s someone who commands a room, earns the respect of her teammates, and makes people want to follow her.”
For Kumar, Kortokrax’s impact at the professional level will be driven by more than talent.
“Her talent is going to take her far, but it’s those leadership qualities and that presence that make me believe she has everything it takes to thrive in Knoxville.”
The Next Chapter
The Miracle believe Kortokrax’s combination of production, versatility, leadership and competitiveness makes her another important piece of the organization’s inaugural roster.
“We believe she has an incredibly bright future in this game, and we’re excited that the next chapter of that future is going to happen right here in Knoxville.”
“It’s my pleasure to officially welcome Kami Kortokrax to the Knoxville Miracle.”
Welcome to Knoxville, Kami.
