Knoxville Miracle Add Former Arizona Standout and Professional Veteran Mandie Alcala
Mandie Alcala brings All-Pac-12 honors, Arizona experience and a professional softball career to the Knoxville Miracle.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Knoxville Miracle are excited to announce the addition of Mandie Alcala, a former University of Arizona standout, two-time First Team All-Pac-12 selection, and professional softball veteran, to the organization’s roster.
Alcala, who competed collegiately and earlier in her professional career as Mandie Perez, brings an outstanding collegiate résumé and valuable professional experience to Knoxville, having competed at some of the highest levels of softball throughout her career.
A native of Whittier, California, Alcala enjoyed a decorated collegiate career at the University of Arizona, where she developed into one of the Pac-12 Conference’s most dynamic offensive players under legendary head coach Mike Candrea.
During her time with the Wildcats, Alcala earned four All-Pac-12 honors, including First Team recognition in both 2016 and 2017. She was also named to the NFCA All-West Region First Team in 2017 and was one of 34 finalists for USA Softball National Player of the Year.
Her senior campaign was particularly impressive. Alcala led the Pac-12 Conference with 66 runs scored while ranking among the conference leaders in batting average, hits, walks, and on-base percentage. She helped power Arizona’s offense from the leadoff position while providing consistent defensive play in the outfield.
Following her collegiate career, Alcala was selected 19th overall in the fourth round of the 2017 National Pro Fastpitch Draft by the USSSA Pride.
She continued her professional career with the Pride before joining the California Commotion organization in 2020. Alcala also competed in Athletes Unlimited, adding another chapter to her professional softball journey.
Known for her energy, versatility, and competitive approach, Alcala brings a combination of offensive production, professional experience, and leadership to the Miracle.
“Mandie is exactly the type of athlete we want representing the Knoxville Miracle. She’s competed in one of the premier collegiate conferences in the country, earned opportunities at the professional level, and understands what it takes to compete against elite talent. Her experience and passion for the game will be tremendous assets to our organization,” Knoxville Miracle Head Coach Craig Snider said.
Alcala’s addition further strengthens a Miracle roster featuring accomplished collegiate athletes and experienced professionals committed to growing the game of softball in East Tennessee.
With her combination of high-level experience and competitive drive, Alcala is poised to make an impact both on the field and throughout the Knoxville community.
Welcome to Knoxville, Mandie!
